Natural stone showrooms face a unique challenge: how to display heavy, oversized slabs safely while creating an inspiring customer experience. Here is our guide to choosing the right stone display stand.
Consider Your Space
First, measure your showroom. Do you have wall space for hanging displays, or floor space for standalone racks? Sliding display racks are ideal for narrow showrooms as they maximize display capacity in minimal floor space.
Weight Capacity Matters
Quartz and granite slabs are heavy. A standard 1200x2400mm slab can weigh 100-200kg. Always choose display stands rated well above the weight of your heaviest slabs, with safety margins.
Viewing Angle
Slabs should be displayed at eye level or slightly angled for best visibility. Floor-standing A-frame displays work well for large format slabs. Tilt-back displays let customers view the surface from above.
Lighting Integration
Natural stone patterns – especially marble veining – are best shown under good lighting. Consider display stands with built-in LED lighting, or ensure your showroom lighting is designed to highlight stone surfaces.
Mobility
If you need to reconfigure your showroom regularly, choose display stands with wheels or casters. Heavy fixed displays are fine if your layout rarely changes.
Custom Solutions
Off-the-shelf stands rarely fit every showroom perfectly. At Innostrate, we design and manufacture custom display stands to your exact specifications – including size, material finish, branding elements and integrated lighting.
